Color and Photography

When I have a family session, my most asked question is what should I have my family wear.  So often people put on the white shirts and levis (which by the way I am not knocking, that’s how my family did our large family photo last year)  But I did an experiment with color to show you that yes it can make a huge difference to wear colors that are flattering to you.

I have this orange scarf that my mom bought me in France and every time Maren walks around with it I notice how her eyes pop.  While I love both of these pictures, Maren’s eyes are enhanced because of the contrasting color in the scarf.  When taking pictures stick with colors that flatter you and you’ll come away happier with the results.
